92 Points - Raymond Chow Wine Reviews, Raymond Chow, February 2021

Bright, pale lemon-yellow, even colour throughout. The nose is vibrant and full; the glass is packed with nuances of passionfruit, gooseberries, fresh-cut grass, along with pineapple and sage scent. Light-bodied, bright and fresh aromas of citrus, passionfruit, pineapple rushing in, intermix white pepper and sage herbs. The finish is refined and lingering. Acid tension flow with good energy lends a mouthwatering, refreshing closing. Match with pan-fried whitefish and shellfish over the next 2 years.

94 Points - Cameron Douglas MS, The Shout,  February 2021

Vibrant, distinctive and pungent bouquet with aromas of sweet grapefruit, apple, pith and sweet hay. There’s a mix of fresh herbs with topical fruits and a stony mineral-water scent. Delicious on the palate with flavours of passion-fruit and pineapple, pacific rose apple flesh and lemon. Fresh herbs and mineral are persistent as is the acidity and saline effect. As always extremely well made with a long finish. What’s not to like?

94 Points - The Wine Orbit, Sam Kim, November 2020

This is intensely aromatic on the nose showing Granny Smith apple, kiwifruit, green rockmelon and lemon zest aromas, leading to a wonderfully flavoursome palate that's juicy and lively. A splendidly expressed sauvignon, offering terrific drinking. At its best: now to 2023. $20.00. www.hunters.co.nz. Oct 2020.

EXCELLENT– Otago Daily Times, Mark Henderson, October 2020
“Classic gooseberry and cut grass, backed by wisps of passionfruit and some sweet florality
with aeration. Drier palate than the nose might suggest, gooseberry and green capsicum flooding
the palate with undercurrents of lemon and wine gums. Fresh, vibrant, mouth-watering tartness with
sherbetty fruit sweetness on the close. Playful.”

Silver - Top Value - The Real Review, Bob Campbell, September 2020

Quite an intense sauvignon blanc that is initially quite mellow but becomes more vibrant and racy on the finish. Passionfruit, guava, capsicum and lemongrass supported by a gently peppery texture. Best drunk 2020 - 2024

94 Points - Cameron Douglas MS, September 2020

Vibrant, youthful, fresh and varietal with distinctive aromas of passionfruit, citrus and tropical fruits. Fresh herbs de provence and sage, pineapple and light white smoke soil moment. Tense, crunchy, fresh, herbaceous and fruity on the palate. Plenty of acidity, a core of fruit and a juicy lengthy finish. Ready from today and through 2023.

 4 STARS – Michael Cooper, February 2020
Hunters fame rests on this wine. The goal is a strong expression of Marlborough fruit – a bell – clear
wine with a mix of tropical and searing gooseberry characters. The grapes are sourced from numerous
sites in the Wairau Valley, and to retain their fresh, vibrant characters they are processed quickly, with
some use of indigenous yeasts and lees-aging. This wine is usually at its best between one and two
years old. Mouth filling and vibrantly fruity, it’s a tightly structured wine, with youthful, ripely
herbaceous flavours, showing a distinct touch of complexity and a crisp, dry, lingering finish. Best
drinking mid 2020+.
