Technical notes

Pretty citrus and grapefruit notes dominate the nose of this wine.

Fresh citrus and floral notes dominate the nose of this wine.  It shows bright grapefruit characters with some apple notes that fills the aroma.  Spice with some litchee fruit characters fill the palate.  The wine is well-balanced with a ripe palate that lingers on to a long and dry finish.  This Riesling displays excellent fruit purity together with fine texture and mouth-watering acidity finishes linear and persistent. 

This wine is very approachable now however it will reward cellaring for the next 10 years.

The fruit for this wine was sourced from a single vineyard in the Rapaura area of Marlborough, famed for its alluvial soils. The grapes were machine harvested and gently pressed with only the free run portion being used in the wine. The juice underwent fermentation in stainless steel tank.

Well worth cellaring, this single-vineyard wine was estate-grown at Rapaura, in the Wairau Valley. Invitingly scented, it is medium-bodied, with very good intensity of vibrant, citrusy, peachy, slightly spicy flavours, and a crisp, dryish, persistent finish.
