Featured Wine - Offshoot Red Nat

What is Red Pet Nat? For those of you who have tasted our Offshoot Sauvignon Blanc you will understand this new wine.

The Offshoot Sauvignon Blanc has been so popular, particularly in the USA and South Korea that the agents were asking the winemaking team to extend this version of the Offshoot range and in particular they wanted a red wine.

Our Red Nat is Pinot Noir made in the Petillant Naturel style from low cropping vines on our Bridge vineyard. The grapes were fermented on skins to extract colour and then pressed off and fermented in a stainless-steel tank. Towards the end of fermentation, the juice was bottled with the yeast and the fermentation process was finished in the bottle. This resulted in a slightly spritzy sparkling wine.

The soft, juicy imminently drinkable wine should be put in the fridge and chilled to serve. Like all good craft beers and ciders there will be a residue from the dead yeast cells – all part of the appeal!

This is a unique product and has a great appeal for those looking for something different look no further than Offshoot Red Nat.
