92 POINTS - Cameron Douglas, camerondouglasms.blogspot.co.nz, Oct 2016
“Attractive perfumed bouquet of Riesling with a mix of citrus and stone fruit aromas, ripe and concentrated, white rose and other floral attributes. On the palate - crisp and dry with loads of fresh and refreshing acidity, a hint of spice then tree and citrus fruit flavours, finally a wet stone mineral layer adding charm and depth. Great balance. An aperitif style with just a whisper of sweetness.”
5 STARS & 93 POINTS – Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Apr 2017
“The wine shows excellent precision and focus, together with fine texture and varietal purity, wonderfully enhanced by attractive lime cordial, lemon peel, apple and floral notes. It is vibrant and refreshing, backed by whispering sweetness, which is perfectly balanced by mouth-watering acidity, finishing persistent and crisp.” 5 STARS & 18.5/20 – Raymond Chan, Raymond Chan Wine Reviews, Apr 2017
“Bright, light straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, very pale edged. The nose is softly concentrated with deep aromas of lime fruit and fragrant white florals entwined with notes of jasmine, talc and sherbet, unveiling subtle mineral elements. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has soft, mouthfilling flavours of lime fruit and exotic florals along with subtle notes of talc, sherbet and minerals. The flavours grow in depth and concentration as it flows smoothly on a very fine-textured line. The acidity is fresh and integrated, and the wine carries to a vibrant, juicy, mouthwatering, sustained finish. This is a softly concentrated dry Riesling with lime and exotic florals on a very fine-featured palate.”

4.5 STARS & BEST BUY – Cuisine Magazine, Issue 181, Mar 2017
“Hunter's experience with Riesling is clearly evident in this dry style, made from fruit taken from a trio of Wairau Valley vineyards. There is surfeit of loveliness to the fruit, with honeysuckle, mango, lime and sherbet notes all noted. The acidity is spot on - it freshens and lifts without drawing attention to itself. A riesling to enjoy with seared scallops.”
4.5 STARS & 92 POINTS – Huon Hooke, HuonHooke.com, Dec 2016
“Passionfruit tropical nuances overlying fragrant 'powder puff' aromas, the wine is juicy and well-endowed with fruit, and there's just a tickle of sweetness helping to balance a suggestion of acid hardness. Very good and has potential.”

RECOMMENDED – Yvonne Lorkin, Dish Magazine, Issue 72, Jun-Jul 2017
“I’d be so heading down the Riesling track with this sticky rice dish. Try the Hunter’s Marlborough Riesling 2016 because it’s so incredibly clean, fresh and limey. Snappy citrus and crushed shell notes, crunchy green apple and hints of honeysuckle will make any flavour combo rock.”
