Today we farewell Chief Winemaker, Gary Duke, on his last day in his full time winemaking role. Gary has been with Hunter's since 1991 and going forward Gary will remain with us in a consultancy role.
Gary has built a wealth of knowledge over the past 24 years. Often referred to around the town as 'The Duke', Gary will be leaving a lasting impression on Hunter's, our wines, and the Marlborough wine industry.
Under Gary's masterful watch, every vintage of Hunter's Sauvignon Blanc has either won a Gold Medal or a Trophy. This is an amazing record and certainly something for winemakers Inus and James to live up to.
We thank Gary for his years of dedication and the superb wines he has produced.
